Your Partner in Billing and Practice Support
Luz Fiorella Restrepo started her career in architecture before moving into healthcare in 2007. She began in customer service at a billing center serving emergency room physicians across several states, helping patients understand their medical bills. At that same company, she received training in attorney requests and Medicaid and Medicare appeals.
As her interest in healthcare grew, Luz studied medical assisting to learn more about the clinical side. She found that her passion was in billing and the business side of healthcare. She later worked in insurance authorizations for an insurance company, giving her a chance to understand the process from the payer’s perspective.
Her next role introduced her to different medical specialties and expanded her experience in revenue cycle management. She continues to enjoy learning about new specialties, understanding their billing rules, regulations, and requirements, and working through the questions that come with each one.
Today, Luz is an AAPC Certified Professional Biller and the owner of Semper Medical Billing. She brings that same curiosity to her clients’ practices, taking the time to ask questions, find answers, and understand where she can help.

Our billing package includes:
Basic Credentialing: Updating CAQH, EFT and ERA set-up, and submitting minor updates to insurance companies.
Full billing cycle: including claims submission and collection, A/R management, patient collection and customer services (we also offer customer service in Spanish.)
Quarterly meetings: We review performance and discuss any concerns or opportunities for improvement.
Monthly Financial Reports: comprehensive analysis of reports detailing collected and outstanding billing and review of patient accounts.
Point of Contact: An account manager will be assigned to your account to answer any questions you may have.
